Daniel Taylor

Daniel is a teacher and musician who uses his love of music to inspire others. He graduated from Lee University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications. Over the past ten years he has helped over 200 students reach their musical goals. Daniel is Music Director at Northstar School where he teaches drums and percussion.

In 2017 Daniel toured with Casey Donahew, and has shared the stage with Jason Aldean, Red Sun Rising, Trapt, Josh Abbott, Wade Bowen, and Tanya Tucker. 

Daniel is music director at Northstar and oversees their music lesson program.

Boaz Curry El

Boaz has a Bachelors in Individualized studies, a Post Bachelors degree in Secondary Education, and has 17 years of educational experience as well as performance. Before moving to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex Boaz was a band director and K-12 music teacher.

Boaz can teach instruments from every instrumental group ranging from woodwinds, brass, drums and percussion, and strings, to basic music theory, ear training, and sight reading. All of our new students have loved taking lessons with Bo and so will you!

Boaz teaches several different instruments, but his passion is the saxophone.

Kaitlin Pacatte

Music has filled Kaitlin's world since she started playing piano at age 6. As a classically trained pianist, she brings her passion for performance and music theory to her teaching. From academic concerts in college, to church accompaniment and playing in bands, Kaitlin's rich experience fosters a nurturing environment where students discover their musical potential and develop a lifelong love for the piano.

Tim Phelan

Tim is a drummer/multi-instrumentalist with 30 years of experience playing, touring and doing session work all over the country. Having worked in studios for the last 20 years as an engineer, producer and arranger, he has a practical and unique approach to drumming. His love for music, enthusiasm and patience shine through in every lesson.

Tim loves giving lessons at Northstar. His two main instruments that he teaches are the guitar and drum set.

Landon Anderson

Landon began teaching guitar in 2011 as a 17 year old senior at Arlington High School and has taught music continuously for the past 12 years, including 8 years teaching music at Northstar. Landon has played in various rock bands in the Arlington and Ft. Worth area and performs regularly for weddings and other events professionally as a solo guitarist. He specializes in classical and electric guitar, and is proficient in any genre, including rock, metal, blues, and jazz. He also gives lessons in Ukulele, Mandolin, Bass, and Banjo.

Jonathan Ake

Jonathan is a current Music Education student with over 10 years of experience in drums, percussion and piano. As well as 7+ years in voice. Having grown up with music and quite the love for it, Jonathan strives to find fun ways to have the students apply what they’re learning in real-time, leaving both the student and himself feeling accomplished and motivated to continue.
